I seem to have an intermitent problem in that the car alarm will go off for no aparent reason. Car has a new battery and the alternator is charging OK now and I'v not found any other electrical faults, although saying that my front right-side indicator went out this morning. Any ideas? Could it be because the car has just been standing for so long and has got damp? Unlocking the door and then re-locking seems to fix the problem, just can't find out why it's going off.

Hi Craig ... you probably already know that by far the most common fault is the bonnet switch ..and with all the attention that has had lately on yours..it's a good chance of being that ..ie: slghtly misaligned bonnet.. or adjustment .. hth .... STN

Thanks Bill, Removed the switch from the front panel and disconnected the two-pin connector block and found that the metal clips that hold the switch in place have totally rusted away (explains why the switch was so loose in the hole). For now I have wrapped the plastic body of the switch with electrical insulation tape enough so that the switch sits very tight in the correct position. Hopefully also re-seating the electrical connector plug will ensure a good electrical connection. ...well it has not gone off yet! Can anyone provide a new switch on on here?
