Hi all, I'm new to the world of Granadas and scorps, having just bought my first one. I got a few minor things that need sorting, most i can sort but heres a couple of questions if anyone can help me. 1. my car a 94 Gran Estate 2.9 ghia I, is supposed to have speed control. However it doesnt appear to function. My steering wheel has four paddle switches. The pics in the handbook dont match what I have. I have seen Granada steering wheels on Ebay that appear to have five switches. So have i got one off something else or what is the correct procedure for activating. Having said that the warning light on dash comes on so i'm assuming switches actually function. only the car doesn't maintain speed and engines revs die down and car slows. Are there any common faults to this system. Any help appreciated. 2. Is the tailgate supposed to be part of central locking. even when car is unlocked I still have to use key to unlock, & the button doesnt push in. Any help on this would be appreciated before i dismantle said systems. Cheers.

Well the Ford handbook i have that came with the car shows small switches on the spokes of steering wheel thats dated 92. The diagram you just linked too is the nearest but all i have on right hand side of wheel is the = and + paddle switches. I dont have the - one . Either way I cannot get it to function. I just wondered if there were any "most common" causes for speed control not working I should be looking at. Mine is a 1994 Granada Estate. not quite a scorpio. some one must know please?

Cheers for that. Looks like it could be the speed sensor, counted the gear changes only got 3 and my trip computer dont work. classic symptoms apparently.. Cheers.

Just changed the VSS and hey i have 4 gears now and cruise, although cruise still only works intermittently for what ever reason. Sometimes it catches sometimes it doesn't.
