Two devices, both slightly behind headlights, look like some kind of vacuum pump/assembly and seem to be connected to each other by a hose run around bulkhead. What are thay and what do they do? Whats the purpose of a plenum chamber? If you romove the engine top cover, you will see there is a diaphram operated lever that controls a valve between the two intake banks. Its at the front of the engine. When does it operate and how does one test its operation? Call me thick, but its all a slow long arduous learning curve!

Sounds like the Traction Control and Cruise Control Modules. Only way to test is to use them when the car is moving. The handbook gives quite a detailed explanation
