Exhaust on its way out...

I have had a rattle from under vehicle recently - got it on the ramp today and the heatshield on the downpipe/cat? has fallen apart so I removed it. The downpipe/cat seems solid enough - do I need to knock up some kind of shield to protect this or will it be ok without ? Also, further back there is a flexi joint on the exhaust which is starting to corrode. Are these expensive parts to replace ? Thanks in advance - Allen

Hello! I really do without cat protective shield! No probs at all! Flexi joint from FMD is a bit expensive, but you can fix it at any exhaust workshop for half a price! Best regards, OHC
