2.9 12v auto box replace with 24v

Hi all
I have a 2.9 12v and I have been offered an almost new cossie 24v auto gear box, does anyone know if it is a straight forward exchange or is it a bit more complicated than that. I would expect the bell housing to be the same, but wiring and sensors may be a problem. Many thanks Al

The 12v cannot use the 24 ALDE box it has to use the older ALDe box
The 24v version is FULLY electronic... the 12v does not have the electronics in the eec to make it operate... it is only partially electronically controlled... read here and associated pages http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/autotrans.htm

Does anyone want the contact details for someone selling an almost new 24v autobox for £250. The collection point would be near J29 M25 just North of the Dartford crossing.
