drink holders

Hope someone can help resolve my problem, which is where can I source a tastefully designed drink holder for my scorpio? It seems to be the one thing missing... I've checked out dozens of web sites and can only seem to find "sporty" or tacky "vent" designs, which i don't want. Ideally i'd like something in black or beige & walnut which can be affixed alongside the gear shift console. Other possible solutions might be a replacement arm rest with holder/s built in, or maybe a unit that can fill the little pocket space under a standard din radio - like I've seen in a rover 75, pop-out type holders that fit flush with the dash when not in use... So... Has anyone any ideas or solutions? Maybe you've been there/done this already? Or perhaps you know of another car that has a solution which would also fit the scorpio? All advice gratefully received!

I was looking at something that would fit above the radio but be hidden under the overhang, with a push to open/close mechanisim such as used in the Seat Alhambra etc. Would mean cutting the dash to fit it but should be reasonably well hidden

I have a set that fit into the front part of the rear seat squab. Made from metal, they came from a BMW 7 series. They are black and fold flush when not in use Baz

Any more ideas on this? Or solutions maybe? I'm interested in something myself, not for the Scorpio but something else.

How about purchasing one of those devilishly stylish hats with built in can holders and a tube that you use like a straw.

Well a trip to McD's today proved interesting... Their standard coffee cup fits nicely between the passenger seat and the hand brake (in off position)! Stick the car in gear when parked to stay stationary. Of course one has to remember to put the gears back in neutral before starting the engine again!! But thats another story...
