Hi all,had my ultima for 3 weeks, run just fine, went out last friday came home fine, sat morning went to go out again and wouldn't start, tried jumping but was spinning fast enough to crank but wouldn't fire, called AA out and they were so busy i got another garage(sent by AA) who was in a nutshell useless seemed he just wanted to tow me away(from outside my own house i might add)well anyway he thought it was fuel pump but i could hear it when ignition switched on,so i phoned AA again and moaned and got one of thier patrol cars out(who was quite helpful)he tried spark plug with tester but no spark but said it was getting power, tested power to INj wich again showed power but not switching,he then suggested CKP but could not locate it ,so i read your pages on this and bought a new one today and fitted it but this has not cured the problem either,so before i start changing everything does anybody have any ideas. When i go to start it all the dials spin over like it is resetting but it does not do this all the time. Can OBD test it without the engine running?Any help would be greatly appreciated,Damon

| Hi there ! The battery is discharged if the dials flick, eaven if the engine spins fast the electronic modules on the scopio shutdown or reset. Try to borrow a good battery from someone. Also clean the battery contacts/cables/grounding. PS: do you got the battery cover fitted ? how are the fuseboxes, clean and dry ?

try a new or fully charged battery, leave it disconnected for a couple of minutes to make sure all the modules reset correctly
