ballooning rad again

Hi nice start to the new year the cossie is in for it's MOT next week so I've had new brakes alround, replaced the rear wishbone bushes and replaced the brake flexie hoses and front steering boots and now I find that my new heavy duty cored rad is starting to leak again from the bottom r/h side this is my second rad fitted last August with a new stat as the one before it only lasted 4 months 
I am starting to feel like giving up on this car, but you get hooked don't you 
Is there any thing else that I can do to try and stop this ballooning like get one of them rads off stn or am I doomed to replacing the rad every 6 months or so  no doubt this will open the whole debate again any thoughts welcome

Wow, and I was depressed coz my front screen heater disnae work 
Did you given the engine block a severe flushing out before fitting your previous rad.

I am waiting to hear off STN cos he is sorting me one of his alloy rads...(Bill, any news yet??) I get though radiators like teabags!!
