FAN ALWAYS ON?

Can anyone tell me if the fan on the 2.9 12v auto should be on when the ignition is switched on and stay on all the time as mine does?Any help please.

Thanks for that Simmo.I will renew the sender switch in the rad end tank and hopefully the problem will be solved.
