Body panel or rust problems come up so rarely on the board it's difficult to know if replacements are easy to locate.

If you do have rust developing, it's best to get it seen to, now, rather than later. I would image that it would only be surface rust and easily rectified, if seen to early. As mr floppy said, there are few posts about bodywork, as the Scorpio seems to have had good rust prevention treatments at the factory. hth

"WHOOPS". The guy mentioned that the sills were a little rusty and although I took remedial action a thought came into my head on how difficult it would be to source these, it was just a thought. Regards kenboy.

Not being an MOT expert but I'm pretty sure the sills on the Scorp are not a load bearing part of the cars structure ( I'm including the jacking points ) so it's maybe acceptable to use filler or glass fibre as a repair.

any part of the sill within 300mm of a prescribed area comes into the MOT, that includes suspension mtgs, seat belt mtgs, & any of the seat mountings, as the seat belt buckle is mounted to the seat.
