ABS/ TCS fault!

I have got a intermittent fault of the ABS and TCS.

I have checked the abs fault page on this site.
I have cleaned the sensors.

The starange thing is that normally it shows fault during startup but sometimes when moving it dissapears.
And if i restart the car when in motion it always dissapears until the car comes to a compleate stop

When the ABS works it works perfect.
What can that indicate?

Bad senor/conection/control unit?

Thanks
Dave

Check & clean the sensor conections.
Is the traction control afected?

Maybe the ABS brain starting to fail.

I have cleaned the front ones. The connections in the back seems to be safe frome water and dirt.

The tcs is not working at the same time as the abs.

You mean the front connections or the sensors?

Have you cleaned the back sensors as they also work the traction control & would be a good place to start.

I've got the exact same problem with mine. Had the other ABS/TC light problem (the ~11mph thingy) earlier, but got that fixed. It was caused by a broken wire from the "brain" to some sensor or other. Ford replaced the wire and everything was fine and dandy until a couple of weeks ago. Got your problem now   Sad
Ford did mention that they had problems getting my ABS "engine" to kick in, and couldn't even get it to do so when "hotwiring" it. So there may be a problem with that.
Strange thing though; the TC kicks in from time to time when the wheels aren't spinning. I'm guessing this is part of the same problem, but can't understand how this can be connected to the ABS "engine".

Oh, and I've got several other electronic problems with my -95. Wanna hear about them?  Wink
