leaking boot

hi ...can anyone help me with my leaking boot ??? its a m reg 2 ltr ultima, and whenever it rains ,or i go through a carwash ... the boot floor gets wet through... theres no obvious gaps in the seal... all surfaces meet and match just as they should ..no dentsgaps or holes ... im sure the water is comming in from the boot lid .... BUT WHERE FROM..?? anyone else had this problem ?? any guesses.???? ideas ??? please help ...its realy anoying ... thanks kev

Try looking at the light cluster - it may just need a bead of sealant around it and tighten the nuts (not too much though!) Dave

Have a look also at the point where the metal of the rear quarter panel forms a joint at the top left and right of the boot opening. I found it to be leaking at the top left joint on my saloon model. A simple bit of filler material solved the problem with no recurrence in the last 2 years Regards KL
