acc did not get warm this morning let alone hot to melt the ice  Cry hubby was not amused !!! i tookthe car out a bit later and it was cold blowing i had even been stuck in traffic as there had been a accident!  any way  15 mins later still very cold ,kept fiddling with the dials nothing was changing i then put both independen dials up to 28 deg, nope nothing , and then i put the dials in to the h1 position, and moved the fan of auto and on to the control bit put the fan to the fastes blow and all of a sudden all the heat came with a blast it got very hot very quick i had to turn it down but was afraid it would go cold again it stayed heated , has any one hve this happen to them ? or any clues y it happened ?

Mine began to blow a bit cooler yesterday.

1st thing I do in that situation is look at the temp guage (that was fine, dead in the middle)
2nd thing I'll do is check the coolant level. Sure enough, it was a bit low. Top up and all is good again.

So, the cold heater is an early giveaway to me about the coolant. Sometimes, if it gets too low, the temp guage will rise a bit too.
