I keep getting the ABS and traction control warning light come on the dash, this is an intermittent problem so I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction to any known faults of locations of sensors that may need checking. Personally I think this is just a dodgy electrical connection somewhere.

I would suggest check that the rear sensors are nice and clean. These are shared by both ABS and traction control systems so any dirt etc on these will put both lights on. Also check rear tyre pressures as a difference of a few psi and put the light on. Check the 2 multiplugs from the ABS modulator in the engine bay for moisture and dirt. Does it come on then go off when you start the car?

Once they come on they remain on for the journey. Next time you can switch the car on and they do not come on at all.

I would suggest removing and cleaning the rear sensors initially. If that does not cause the problem then have a look at the multiplugs at the ABS unit. Its probably the sensors though Mine certainly were filthy and put the lights on a few months ago!
