Anyone got a rough idea of the cost of a garage doing the rear bearings,mine sound decidedly ropey so need 'em doing.

My local garage mechanic ( as a favour at £5 an hour ) charged me £140 for the rear O/S bearing . bearing kit = £32 Hub Flange = £88.76 ( this may not need replacing, but it does get damaged when the bearing decides to make weird noises ) Labour = 4 hrs x £5.

just bite the bullet and get them done if they are "rumbling" in my opinion,sod the expense,i'll tell you this,couple of months ago my near side one just collapsed on me,bearing,carrier,discs,pads + labour + inconvience and everything else + the thick end of £500.00..... ... thats my tip anyway..

you can do it yourself in about 1 & half hours tops it not that hard did mine 2 weeks ago cost £30 to £40 you may need a puller about £20
