Drivers side airbag fault

I have recently replaced the heater matrix and in order to do so I removed the entire dashboard. I replaced the dashboard etc and now get an airbag fault. It is a code1 fault (drivers airbag). I have rechecked all of the connections, checked the clock spring and am now wondering what on earth to do. Does anyone have any suggestions. Cheers Chris

The only thing that springs to mind is a faulty connection , could be worth while checking them again. also the seat belt pre tensioner plug under the seats..

Did changing the matrix sort out your heating problem?

Hi Jonnycab, Yep, £29 heater matrix from Partco. 4 days of very frustrating work, but now lots of hot air.
