after at last geting my tailgate lock working, I noticed that the hazard flashers start to flash if I open the tailgate before the drivers door.... it dawned on me that this must be the alarm going off (silently) ....I had forgotton that I have an alarm as I have never heard it ..... Question: where is the alarm generated from,is it seperate from main horn?

The alarm horn is situated on the bulkhead behind the battery and it is not unknown for someone to disconnect it if the alarm has been causing problems.
