Read this http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=Problems;action= display;num=1136455478;start=0#0. Are you low on fuel? Does the noise go off when you start up?.

Mine used to do this. Turned out to the gear stick linkage had been bent and even though it was in P, the sensor still thought it was in a gear.

Mine started doing this and it's all to do with the gearstick linkage underneath car. My friendly mechanic was able to adjust it without dismantling the whole car. It only needs to be a gnats out for the "not in park" alarm to sound.

My gear shift got stiff after a while without the car being used. when i first lubed the linkage underneath the stiffness was gone but the alarm related to park and ofcourse the ignition key isolation still played up.
another good dowsing in wd40 solved that also.
Take a look at this previous posting

well guys thanks for your  input on this problem and im gonna have a go at it just been looking at how to remove and replace and it looks like i can do it from inside the car will i have to replace the spring if it stretched to much or is it a case of just lubricating the moving parts on the linkage Huh
