Where were Scorpios built?

Apologies if this is stated somewhere, I tried doing a search of the site but I'm a bit crap at computers.
Plus it's nice to get to know you. I'm picking up my first scorpio this week and I'm sure I will be around here a lot.
Where were Scorpios built? UK, Belgium, Germany, what?

I'm getting a 2.3 16v. The 2-litre seemed underpowered, and I thought about a 2.9 but the 12v seemed to be no better than the 2.3 (and thistier) and the 24v, appealing though it was, seems to be scarily expensive if it goes wrong.
Of course the 2.9 Cosworth is the ultimate drivers car but my best mate has a 2.3 16v and I know that will be sufficient for my driving needs, as well as being maintainable by my little village garage.

My 2.3 has been built in germany, but more that 80 % of the components used are made in UK.
