I wonder about having your oil changed by National. How do they drain the old oil? Do they drain it using the sump plug or suck it up through the dipstick pipe?

No- I have only once had my engine oil changed by a fast-fit place, and they used a long tube which they inserted into the dipstick hole to remove the old oil. This was a long time ago- 1980-ish.

I wasn't overly impressed by this as I felt that it was, at best, a partial oil change. - I normally leave the sump plug off for at least 4 hours to ensure that the sump drains properly.

So I wondered if National used the same method as the place I used..

I always use Wynns oil flush before an oil change & that seems fine.
Then I put my usual Semi Synthetic Castrol GTX Magnatec 5W/30 back in.

Hello again
Forgot to add that I've been down "air filter road" - posts on site somewhere.
Decided to stick with Std Motorcraft.
