Went into my local spares shop and asked him if he had any water repelling electrical grease. He wasn't sure. Is multi purpose grease OK? High melting point? or can anyone recommend a product type. Car Lube perhaps? I want to apply it between the multiplug and ABS modulator. Thanks.

You want silicone grease. but do not get it on the pins as it is an insulator.

Ford do a special grease - which can still be FMD ordered - but not cheap. Forgot name of it - used to be called Myogel. Some info. on site but forgot where. Bottom line is in my case to use proper stuff - as electrical probs from using wrong stuff are best avoided. david

Silicon grease rules. I pack every electrical connection on my motorbike with it - never any problems in the rain and no corrosion issues.

You can get SILICON grease from MOST Plumbers mechants as they use it to assemble the plasctic plumbing ... I us eit on the exposed plugs under the wheel arches and have done since I owned my Scorpio.
