Idle problem

Mornin' all, lovely day here in sunny Cheshire but the Scorp is throwing a slight tantrum. Been running great since we got her back on the road but sometimes the idle speed isn't right. It seems to stick at up to 1500rpm. Manily happens when warmed up, but can be a little up and down at other times. Does not happen all the time, cleaning the throttle body seems to help for a while - how often should I expect to have to clean this? MAF and idle valve cleaned last weekend, idle valve only 3k miles old. Accelerator cable doesn't seem to be too tight. Car is running great which makes this little fault all the more annoying! Any thoughts? Cheers EDIT: It is a 1996 24v, 59k miles

Dave, Was the gasket changed when you replaced/cleaned the ICV?. I cleaned mine recently and replaced the unit as the gasket looked sound. Even applied a smear of gasket sealant.However... after a run when warm the problems returned. Can only assume heat caused 'movement'and thus upset the running. Fitted new gasket and all ok ever since.

Hi, thanks for that, a new gasket went on with the new valve, it has only been of twice for cleaning but will check it anyway. Cheers
