As it is becoming increasingly difficult to find a second hand air-con compressor for my 2.3 and a new one is out of the question.....Has anyone here ever replaced a seized clutch assembly? and was it a difficult/expensive job?

Never done it but looking at the compressor you'll need to undo the centre nut (it may be a LH thread so be careful) and then probably use a puller to remove the pulley. Hopefully the magnetic clutch assembly should remain on the compressor housing but take it gently just in case it doesn't - the wiring is still on the compressor! If you can practice on another compressor (e.g. at a scrapyard or buy a known busted one) then that'd be safer, but if it ain't working now then I suppose you've nothing to lose... Darren
