Auto Box Gear Selector (Illumination)

I was parking up late last night after a very long drive. I was not really with it and I had to glace down to the gear selector to check which gear I was in. I had a lot of difficulty seeing which gear was selected.
Is the auto box selector illuminated? And if so how does one go about replacing the bulb?
Any help would be appreciated.
