any one ever replaced the A/C de-ice switch on a 24v, I may be wrong but it looks like I may have to remove the inlet manifolds to get the evap housing out, any help ??

that bits not very helpfull, de-ice switch & temp probe are one unit with the probe mounted inside the evap housing, at the moment it looks like its manifolds off to get it out.

hi martin

there's a guy on the mailing list with a 24v. he's just changed his. never said anything about it being difficult, so i would think it must come out without taking the manifolds off. Undecided

does this help any?

Hi Andrew, yeh read all them bits, its all undone, just gets jammed, it will only slide out on battery side, gets stuck on mtg stud, even tried cutting top half off that, just dont fancy taking manifolds off, its not like its a paying job, its my dads, only build the ngine about 5k ago, never mind you can't do too much for familey, see you at Harewood, shouyld have mine re sprayed by then, smoe silly cow in a yaris ran in the side of it.

quick update, decided not to remove manifolds, put the car on axle stands (under chassis) trolly jack under the engine xmember, undid the 10 bolts from the xmember & the 1 from the steering uj & let the engine down about 4 inches, just enough room to get the evap housing out. all back together now & working.
