Crankshaft oilseal

I have had so much trouble getting hold of a front crankshaft oil seal it's unbeleiveable. hopefully I have got one now. is there another engine that will fit the ford scorpio Ultima

The same engine (well, detail differences to the heads and injection system) were fitted to: Rover 825D Vauxhall Frontera (only the 2.5D, not the other sizes) Jeep Cherokee And there's a place in Chesterfield claiming to be a VM diesel specialist. Can't remember their website but search for VM diesel and you'll find them! Personally I'd like to see the Rover L-series direct-injection diesel in a Scorpio - I liked that engine a lot and it's capable of 50mpg in the 620SDi Darren

try removing the seal, use yellow pages find local a 'bearing specialists' they should be able to supply a suitable seal to pattern.
