Hi there, got a little niggling problem with my cossie. The autobox has an annoying tendancy to go out of either E or S mode and go into snow mode (annoying if you're trying to pull out of a junction and relise you're starting in second). If its in either E or S and i press the gear lever surround down it will go out of E or S and into snow mode, same thing happens if i'm going down a bumpy road, so i'm assuming its a connection somewhere. Has this happened to anyone else or could someone point me in the direction of what it could be please Thanks, Matt

Hi, yep agree with Dave, I am recently retired auto trans specialist and the connections and switches suffer and become very erratic when you touch the console. Check connexions first and then if not try a set of switches this should do it. Any scorpio with sport mode box switches will do they dont have to be from a cossie model.

If you can get the switches out and apart then contact cleaner (from Maplins) will probably fix it. Over time the switches can start sticking so that they don't fully release; hence triggering if they are knocked. Darren
