Are you sure it needs a head gasket (and if so, which)? Most of the failures I've heard of tend to be on the 4-cyl engines - don't recall hearing of a standard 12V 2.9 needing one... Darren

dont know which one but theres the cream gung in the oil filler cap and water kicks out of the header tank

You may be able to tell by checking the spark plugs. If water is leaking into the cylinder(s) then those should be a different colour, but you'll have noticed lots of white smoke from the exhaust before it died. Obviously if you can find which one has gone it saves you time and money doing both... Darren

well mr floppy some ones got to live here and i drew the short straw luckly i wasnt born and bred here that was in good old sheffield, but came here for day and ended up staying for life
