Diesel aux. fusebox

Could any kind soul with the early diesel engine (i.e. 115BHP, no MAF, etc.) take a photo of the relays and fuses as fitted to the aux. fusebox and post here please? I'm trying to determine why my car is so crap on fuel and I'm beginning to suspect the fuel system/pump. When I pull the pump relay (green/purple) out with it idling it makes a horrible clattering noise which I think is the injector timing too far advanced. Funny though, I thought that the timing should only be advanced for cold starts or high revs? I prised the cap off this relay and with the engine cold or hot it seems to hold the advance solenoid 'on' so I'm wondering at what point it should release it? Also the relay below it (there are two in one package) does nothing at all! FWIW, I have been able to map out the internal wiring of the pump relay and if I can draw a neat diagram I'll post it - the part number on my relay is the same as those used for the petrol engines which I find strange!? Anyway, if somebody wouldn't mind photographing the fusebox with lid removed then that'd be a great help. Ideally somebody with a base spec model so I can tell which fuses/relays are redundant, and preferably one which hasn't been played about with as I don't have anything to reference mine against. Thanks. Darren

Okay, have drawn a circuit diagram for the insides of the pump relay (quite simple, two relays and a few diodes) - I've posted it under the give advice section along with my findings. Also I've worked out that the link fitted in position R22 is actually for the LH cooling fan and with it removed only the small RH one will run. Of course, this has the knock-on effect that it will only run on 'high' as both fans need to be in circuit to run slow. Darren
