Central locking

My new Defa alarm system arrived yesterday (to replace the old aftermarket alarm which kept failing on me, especially when I was in a hurry).

Now, I've got it to trigger on opening of the doors, bonnet and boot, and even got it to flash the indicators on arm/disarm/trigger, BUT I have some serious problems making it lock/unlock the doors.

The old system locked and unlocked perfectly, and I tried reusing the old loom, but it doesn't work.
It has three different connection systems:
* Normal Closed Loop
* Normal Open Loop
* Com
None of them work.

For those who are interested:

Schematics for the old system (in swedish  Undecided)
Schematics for the new system (english)

Any ideas?

Oh, btw, does anyone know where I can connect the alarm so it can open/close the front windows (rear windows are manual wind) and open the boot?
It does have the outputs to do it, so it would be nice to have that function  Smiley

Edit:

I've been trying some more now, and it seems like the old system sent 12V for 0.5 seconds to open or close the central locking. I'm able to replicate that by putting 12V onto one of two wires (grey wire locks, white wire unlocks). For some reason (probably me not connecting it the way it should), the new system doesn't do this on any of its connectors.

Edit2: Oops, wrong schematics link for the new system.

Can't view the swedish pdf but looking at the schematic for the new alarm it has two relays (with normally-open, normally-closed and common contacts to each).

I've just checked the c/l schematic and it looks like white/violet is live when unlocked, and yellow/black when locked.  If you were to connect white/blue and yellow (both from alarm) to each other and to a permanent live, then white/brown (on alarm) to yellow/black, and green (on alarm) to white/violet then that should be enough to make it work - do make sure the keys are out of the car before connecting up though!  Wink

The above will not operate the double-locking facility if you have it, though it may close windows/sunroof if your car can do that already by holding key in the lock position.

Opening the boot is fairly simple - there should be another relay output from the alarm which you would connect common and normally-open terminals across the existing boot release switch.  Not sure about doing the windows from the alarm though...

Connected COM LOCK/COM UNLOCK to a permanent 12V feed and LOCK NO to the LOCK wire (grey) and UNLOCK NO to the UNLOCK wire (white). Worked  Grin

Thanks alot Darren!

Will have a look at the boot release and window open/close later.
