Check the connections to the door module if the above doesn't help as here:

I guess you could put 12v to the motor, that should shut them at least.

daft question but have you tried starting the car and then closing them? I have been working on mine today and the car was sat on the path with all windows open, radio on etc. Came to close the windows when we were going swimming and they wouldn't. Tried to start the car and the battery was a bit flat. Stuck the power pack on, started the car and all windows closed OK

Just a thought

hi everyone, tried all of the suggestions but no joy ,i also have no alarm/double locking will have to leave car open all night (luckily i have lockable gates on my drive\ but i still need to fix in case of rain it looks like i may have to try auto electrician /i prefer to fix problems myself but this beats me . iget power to door module but not to switches suspect module but mirrors adjust and everything fine this morning .if module why no alarm or global? checked EVERY BLOODY FUSE.all A.O.K don't like to go near alarmwith any test equipment.   thanks for all your efforts and hopeto meet you next week at HAREWOOD bye

Electric windows are controlled by module in driver's door.  Check for +12V on pin 14 which feeds the switches in the doors - if this is dead then you may be able to manually close the windows by rigging up a +12V feed to it.

Because the wiring for all the windows goes to the front driver's door I would check for loom damage where it goes between door and body.
