Temp gauge switch

Does anyone know which one of these is the temp gauge switch They are for a 2.3 BTW Also would it hurt to leave the plug for this disconnected, Aux water gauge going in instead.

The one with 1 (one) wire going to it is for the gauge the other one with 2(two) wires is for the ecu. looking at them the left hand one looks like the gauge sender .

richard.. dave's right,on the 2.3 the the switch for the gauge is the 1 on the left,new price from ford is about £13.00..

hi there yep, the one on the left. watch putting it back in. there should be a gap between the sensor the the plastic/ brass housing. if you go to far, the brass 'nut' will just rip out of the plastic manifold. that's how i found out about 'quick steel'.

Thanks guys for the replies, Craig, Not needing a new one, putting a separate temp gauge in Snoopy, Just to let you know they both have two wires, thats what confused me SM, thanks for that, Don't want to break the new manifold do I
