Hi does anyone know where i can find an exploded view of the air con unit from a 2.3 12V Im interested in the clutch wheel. I recently fitted a new pulley wheel bearing, but on refitting the clutch wheel and pulley, it seems the clutch pulls up tight against the pulley, so the pump is on all the time, if i slacken off the small 8mm bolt that bolts the clutch plate on, it spins freely again. its as though im missing a spacer or a washer that stops the clutch plate from touching the pulley. help help help. btw i tried a different clutch plate from a 2.0 they are slightly different but the splines are same, well it slipped like mad, overheated and cooked the brand new bearing that i had just installed !!!!!!! back to square one: i.e go buy another bearing (specially ordered) re fit the bearing (press fit, but i glue them back in) try and solve the clutch plate problem. and its a heatwave tomorrow d**n !

there is an 'air gap' setting for the pulley, you have to press the bearing on the right amount to give the clutch the right running clearance / clamping force. your supplyer should be able to give you the correct measurment.

hi-air gap between the compressor driving pulley and the compressor pulley should be 0,35-0,75mm.gap is adjusted with shims behind driving plate.bolt should be tightened to 13Nm. hth
