I was looking on TIS & found a TSB (1996 187) on poor straight line stability etc.,as my 97, 2.3 has this problem i had a read. It seems that from the Aug 96 modified hydro bushes & washers were fitted along with a restrictor in the bush, which as far as i can tell mine does not have,it just seems to be the rubber in its case ? any one come across this?. It also seems that Ford fitted an additional air deflector under the front bumper for this problem too ! I dont do computers to well or id post the TSB but some one might be able to??

The first two are Ford Technical Information System and Technical Service Bulletin atleast Don't have time to pull up the TSB right now, otherwise I would have checked what it's all about

hi as the tsb says since 08/96 modified hydro bushes have been fitted.so would say you have the modfied bushes etc fitted.you would really need to have bushes off to see the restrictors or if you look at the front of the bush you may just see a couple off flat surfaces that looks like you can put an open ended spanner on,thats the front restrictor.if thats there the back ones there as there metalastic to the bush.ps check your vin code here http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/dates.htm HTH
