New to Scorpios, so excuse my ignorance. How do I know if my 1996 cossie has had it's software updated or not? I remember reading somewhere that Ford had updates that affected/smoothed out gear changes etc. Thanx.

Hi solarpanel, are there many Scorp owners in Norwich? Can't ay i've seen too many around. As for having loadsamoney to run my cossie the wife wouldn't agree! Just getting used to its fuel economy round town(Haven't done a long run yet) and only getting 22mpg! Even my modified mondeo mk1 V6(running 185bhp) gives more than that. But then again know which one i prefer to drive!!! You'll have to pm me and well see about meeting up sometime maybe with other owners in the area.

I think the info is on the main site. Basically if it thumps into 2nd gear (under certain conditions) then it's the old software - the newer one slurs the upshift. Darren
