Hot Creaking

Hi All I haven't been on the forum for months - I have not got enough time to play these days - but my 2.3 Ult Est has developed an interrmitently embarrassing problem: in hot, dry weather (such as now), she will start creaking (after maybe 30 mins if the roads are uneven) in a particulary painful way, from somewhere up front. Sorry for the lack of precision here. The creak is a serious-sounding creak (not just a girlie creak from a little spring compression) that sounds as if it is front, central - which I can't see is possible - but may be both sides of the front wheels at the same time. It is difficult to diagnose because, if I stop in order to investigate, the creak will disappear after about 5 mins 'rest'. I seem to remember reading a post that described the same phenomenon some time ago, but I can't now locate it. The creak does not seem to be steering related; at least it does not correlate with turning one way or another, but it is caused by up/down motion. Something somewhere needs lubrication. Does anybody know what this could be? When the weather is not so hot and dry, there is zero creak. Iain C
