MISSING CONNECTIONS

hi everyone, pottering about learning about my new car i noticed bolted to the front of the abs unit around black plastic cannister this has three small stubs in the top end which in my experiance usuallyhas vacuum pipes attached in my case there is zilch,nothing and no unattached pipes floating about . can anyone advise as to function and possible routing of pipe work. thanks in anticipation rod hgv

thanks simmo,i don't have any problem with running the photos don't shew the object my car is 24v so perhaps it differs can't seem to find any photos or info on TIS BUT THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY

Can you post a photo of it? It sounds like either the evap canister as Snoopy says, or the vacuum tank which is only fitted to some cars and is mounted on the ABS modulator bracket. Didn't think that had three stubs though... Is it possible a previous owner replaced the ABS modulator incl. bracket with one from a scrapyard? That'd explain the presence of the tank but no pipework! Darren
