I noticed the other day while looking to see why the tailgate light does not auto come on when the tailgate of a Scorpio estate is open <another bug hunt> but it seems the sreen wiper has a washer pipe, never seen that work before. does that have a seperate pump or its own and where would it be, front screen wash works fine. I see theres a black tube which must run all the ways down the N/Side of the car.? any help appreciated aureus

Hi. On my vehicle (95 cossie estate) there is one washer pump on the bottom front of the washer fluid reservoir with two outlets. One outlet attaches a tube which goes to front windscreen washers and the other outlet attaches a tube to the rear tailgate washer. there is multiplug that fits into top. So only one washer pump in my vehicle with two outlets. Hope this helps

If you lift the plastic cover over the rear wiper fixing nut you should see a small plastic cap, on the end of the spindle, connected to a rubber tube running inside the wiper arm to feed the jet which is an integral part of the wiper arm. The water supply is fed through the spindle from inside the tailgate. As stated there is only one reservoir.
