For me this is the end of my love story with my estate. Since I can't afford to repair it for the MOT. It still run well but I can't do it - Despite its age and engine problems, the car fully satisfied me. Can some one tell me how can I get rid of it for few quids ?

When breaking a car for part, It should be declared to the DVLA and insurance, how do I do it ? The Car is park on the street I can't break it into parts unless some is interested by the whole car.

car should not be broken on the road. you dont need to contact your insurance, other than to cancel the policy, as if you do break it, it will be off the road. you must contact dvla when you take the car off the road,(or when the tax expires) to declare it sorn. also let dvla know when you get rid of the car, even if its at a breakers/savage yard. hth Russ
