OK, I really dont want to join the long line of leavers and really want to keep my scorp so what are the common things to look for in order to pass my MOT ? Despite the obvious tread\bulbs any advice is much appreciated. Pete

Mines coming up at the end of August after i get back from holiday Off the top of my head things i'd check for would be: Working handbrake (check for seized callipers), Any play in the steering rack, Leaks from the steering rack, Leaks from the braking system, Wheel bearing play, Condition of gaitors (steering rack, driveshafts), Condition of discs and pads, Corrosion (sills, brake lines etc), I'm sure more people will be along soon to add to the list... Matt

I've heard a few sad stories of dedicated owners ( not just Scorps ) having to part with their pride and joy through emissions failure.

A good engine service oil & filters ,pos. plugs if due will help emissions.check front lower arm bushes all lights horn washers abs tc lights, as we now have to pay again if it fails, MOTs are getting to be costly (i think they were about £8-£10 when i started driving )
