Airbags

My Father has had an intermittent fault with his airbag warning light, Found the codes here so decided to replace the module, After all the bother of getting at the bolts and bolting the replacement in, I found the replacement had a different plug Cry
I put the original back on in the hope that taking it off and disconnecting it would have done something,
We now have the light on permanently instead of the flashing, The only thing I can find is that fuse 27 in the central fuse box should be blown, Haven't checked it since the original problem as the car is not with me, (will check later).
What I would like to know is;
1, Is there anything else I can do.
2, How many different modules are there.
Any help would be good as I need to get this done for his MOT.
Thanks in advance.

Does this page help?.  http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/airbagmanual.htm. There have been reported issues with the 'clockspring'.

Cheers chaps but I think I have found the problem, It appears to be loose connections on the seatbelt pre-tensioner.
A bit of a fiddle and now the light goes out as it should Wink

I have a similar problem, airbag flashes 4 times, meaning seatbelt pretensioning, it's relating with the adjustment of the front seats. There are some wireing looms under there, if i move them, the fault is gone at the next engine start.
