last weekend the outside temp showed 45c on car sensor and when i fired car up it started to misfire running like donkey with 3 legs

as it was to hot and I've just been diagnosed with diabetes i left it till weather cooled down a bit

yesterday armed with meters and strobe light i discovered no spark at no1 and think no 3(looking from front first on left) and a few others were not to brilliant
first thought was sparkpack

but i thought start off with the easiest thing first so i got strobe light out and went straight from distributor cap to plugs and got a spark so 1 set of distributor leads plus the one to the power pack and its back to running smooth again

do you think its just coinsidence they packed up all together on the hottest day of the year and do leads breakdown under heat as i would of thought it got hot under bonnet anyway
