Dropping Cossie tranny

Hey,

I've got a new engine 'fuel shut-off' loom to fit to the Cossie. I managed to get the old loom off the tranny plugs, but it's really really hard to get in to put the new ones on. I'm now considering the recommended 'drop the tranny down to gain access' method. Anyone done this? How hard? Brief summary of method?

It's only me, some axle stands and a Halfords professional socket set, so if I need to jack trannies back into place and all that, I may persevere with trying to replace it all in-situ... Long-nosed pliers, Heath-Robinson installation jigs with wire coathangers. Hacksaw a piece out of the transmission tunnel.

If it's just eight bolts and ten minutes then perfect...
