It sounds like some of your guides have completely smashed up.
Don't start it again other wise a chain might break.

The timming gear needs to be looked at.

Well not as bad as it sounded in the first post but the same still applies.

A chain will break eventually.

It happens to 80,000 mile engines so yours as done well.

Get it sorted soon as mate .i had a chain guide break up.
chain jumped a sproket valves hit piston, damaged the camshaft result over £2.5k rebuild bill,
trust me you have had warning from the noise it will go suddenly,i didnt even get a warning noise.
sorry if i seem the bringer of bad news but if i had ,had tensioners replaced.i would have saved a fortune and a load of grief

Get the gaskets from here http://www.bgautomotive.co.uk/html/catalogue.html
They are good gaskets.

If you catch the engine before anything hits the pistons you do not have to take the heads off.

You need to look at what is broke & worn.

Timming gear & crank shells are the parts that usally wear.
Tensioners usally just need cleaning but again depends on each engine.

A BOB with a rattle or broken guides can be fixed for as little as £50 in parts.

How ever it's alot of work.
