hi gang can anybody help with a problem ive got with my 7000 unit . i took it out and dropped it and now ive got no power or display ive looked for fuses but cant seem to find any. bet one of you clever gits knows the answer thanks Roll Eyes

It could be ugly
 
If the shock was high the component board may have lost some of it's connections...in general big and heavy parts brake of by inertia...like connectors and stuff like that....

I  might  be  stating  the obvious  but,  I'm   assuming  you  know  a   security code   needs  to   be   programmed   every   time  the  unit   is   disconnected   ?

I think he does, he has no power to do it though.
 
As Octavian_P says i think dropping it will have caused the problem in that something will have broken, Dont think a fuse will help.  
 
An auto electrician will probably be more expensive than a new unit
 
Unless you have a look inside and see if you can see anything loose then its another radio i'm afraid.

thanks yet again . i took it apart and found that a strip on the main board had split, resoldered it and hey presto it worked , cant thank you lot enough your all diamonds
