after failing to fit a new rear bumper (one of the nuts seized, will have to buy a nut splitter) i thought i'd check the front brakes quickly with wheels in situ as they'd started to judder. ran my finger across drivers side disc, no grooves etc, hmmmm, hopefully they're warped and that'll be the cause, i was really hoping its not wheel bushes etc, i can do brakes no prob, but wheels and their bits? never tried. anyway, rolled the car forward a bit, had another look.....eh, whats this then? a chunk about 1/4 deep and inch or more long was missing from the outer edge of the disc.....that'll be the cause then lol

Found the same on mine. Replaced them with a pair of ATE grooved discs and put on a new pair of Mintex-pads at the same time. Couldn't believe the difference, but then again, the old pads were pretty poor.
