Could be starter motor.
Not had this problem before on a Scorp, but on old cars, a quick bash with a hammer used to make it work. Smiley

Try the gear lever in N instead of P, might be a switch problem.

With the Scorp you never know if it's electrical or mechanical.
But going on my personal experience, it sounds mechanical.

Could be starter sticking, or solenoid gone. Either way.....it's a new starter motor (or second hand) Wink

Forgot to mention broadland motor company (Wayne) behind shell garage in wroxham will change the starter over for £32. Well that's what he charged me. Knows his stuff and has worked on 24v's before including mine. He's no "expert" on cossies but seems to have a level of knowledge and experience in general. I know its awkward if you can't get the car started to get there might be worth talking to solarpanel as i'm sure changing the starter would be kids play for him. Excuse me if you can change it yourself don't mean to question your abilities. Good luck, Guy

Forgot to mention, changed the starter because of loud starting/cranking. It turns out it's the ring gear? Part of torque convertor i believe. So the old starter should be quiet and was certainly working on removal.
