Swapping instrument panels

Hi guys, I van a 20. 16V CLX with the standard instrument panel. Now i can get a cheap one off a Ghia with the tripcomputer and stuff. Can it be easily swapped for mine easily or do i neet to install a load of extra sensors to get it ito work?

Good question, both have a vss so speed/distance related functions should be straightforward.
Other enhanced functions of the trip computer include digital fuel state, voltage from charging circuit probably worth having a look at circuit/wiring info at http://www.carsoft.ru/avtorepair/sierra_el.html
I know it says sierra in the link but these really are Scorpio circuit diagrams.
You probably have the sensors, if there is a problem it would probably be linked to connectors and loom.
Any chance of posting a piccy of the CLX standard panel so we can see what the UK market alternative would be?

The CLX panel is the same as the Ultima/Ghia except no trip computer in the rev counter and no car diagram under the fuelgauge. I'll see if i can take a pic later
