petrol fumes 2.3

I have got petrol fumes in the boot and around the filler cap .I have had the arch guard off and cant see petrol coming out anywhere .But I dont have that phsss noise of air when opening the filler cap , over night it loses about 10 to 15 miles on the range ,can anyone help please ...david

you may have a rusty tank or pipe,if your dropping 10/15 miles there must be a wet patch visable ?there are vents in the rear quarters behind the bumper sides which will be where the smell is getting in as the fuel does not pass through the boot

there is no sign of a wet patch or even a damp patch that I can see .soe one told me there is a vapour chamber near the tank on the return feed that may of cracked also a rubber elbow that couls break down ,has anyone had this problem before
