Climate Control code 57

HI Folks, discovered my climate control was playing up last week (cold on left, hot on right) so went to to do a CC reset and I get 57 in the display which comes up straight after 00 and cant seem to clear it. I am sure I have had this before, but cannot remember the problem and cannot find anything on the website with a search. Any ideas, anyone? Cheers Pete H

THIS is the page you want. The code 57 is a hiccup. Ignore the 5. 7 indicates that the heater blower control is playing up.

I get the code 57, but it doesn't seem to be the HBC. Instead it seems to be related to the control panel switch which controls the air distribution. What usually happens is that there will be no air blowing to the windscreen. If I reset it, then it works fine again.

Could it be the fan motor?. Read This thread and see if that helps.

My system has an unclearable 57 fault as well although never once has anything actually gone wrong except for the following: Occasionally when it's cold outside and a temperature selected is the same on both sides the right side refuses to blow hot air, however this goes away simply by taking the right side up to "HI" and when it starts blowing hot returning it to the temperature originally selected, no more problem.
